Research Projects
Our comprehensive, leading-edge research on the implementation and improvement of coaching in businesses (and other organisations), on the situation and development of coaching in different cultures and regions in the world, and on the core of coaching has won worldwide acclaim and has set international standards for the last years.
All
Bresser Consulting projects are characterized by a strong link to business needs and a high practical relevance and applicability of the results. We continuously develop new business and management tools (and optimize our existing ones) for the successful
implementation and improvement of coaching in companies and other organisations on the basis of the findings.
Frank Bresser Consulting is the only company worldwide that is officially licensed to apply these Bresser Consulting Tools and offer and provide
services on their basis.
We have carried out for example the following research projects:

We are currently conducting the Global Coaching Survey 2008/2009. The publication of the results is expected at the beginning of 2009.
European Coaching Survey 2007/2008

Research project on the core of coaching: The 12 dimensions of coaching
This project examined the essence of coaching as well as the major areas of controversy around the subject. Like the previous projecs, it has set international standards (e.g. publication in "Excellence in Coaching: The industry guide" und in "An ICFAI Guide to be an effective coach", another two-part article of 8 pages is listed
here).
Transatlantic Coaching Pilot Projekt: Coaching across cultures
In this project, 19 professional European coaches were paired up to coach 19 High Potentials at Leadership Rice (Rice University, Houston) by phone across the Atlantic. The coaching programme was designed, implemented and evaluated in great detail. While the results of this research were also included in the Coaching Research Project 2005, it is commonly seen as a separate, self-contained project. Publications on the subject can be found
here.
Research project on the question: To what extent is the core of coaching culture-specific or culture-free/universal?
This project examined the coaching concept and its practical application from the perspective of existing culture approaches and theories as well as with regard to the aspects of best practice and globalisation. Publications on the topic can be found
here.
Research project on coaching leadership style / coaching culture
